international Live Venous Symposium 2025

After the success of the third edition in 2023 that saw more than 200 participants from various parts of the world, 15 international speakers, I thought to continue with a high education event devoted very much to practice, including workshops and live surgery. The event will be attended by distinguished international specialists, thus contributing to a unique event. Each participant will also be able to talk directly with the experts during the surgeries/workshops. In the hands-on workshops, mentors will instruct and guide participants during each training session, providing feedback on each learning. The goal of CONGRESS is to chart the diagnostic and therapeutic course to be followed in the patient with chronic venous disease (CVD), lymphatic and vulnological disease, following the Hands on Training formula, that is, "teaching to learn by providing real-world experience, allowing the participant to be able to apply what they have learned, creating a sense of empowerment" in the phlebological, lymphological and vulnological fields. Therefore, ample space will be devoted to the practical part with demonstrations on the use of diagnostic and therapeutic tools such as US, laser, sclerofoam, compression bandaging, advanced dressings and more; finally, each participant will be involved in the therapeutic pathway to be followed by the patient. For phlebology, as for other disciplines, the concept of multidisciplinarity is applied today, characterized by the complicity between medical and paramedical professionals; in this way, it is possible to better achieve a common goal and that is a better quality of life for the patient, improving not only the clinical-functional conditions but also the aesthetic ones, through the use of the latest minimally invasive methods. Therefore, the program will offer live practical sessions. The iLVS aims to achieve the set goal thanks to the great work done by the people working to make it happen, the faculty and the sponsors who give their unconditional support. The iLVS will host sessions on: - Live cases - Satellite/symposium workshops - Independently sponsored workshops... - Round tables on diseases and treatments in phlebology, lymphology and vulnology will involve experts from around the world. We will do our best to meet the needs of all participants and sponsors and hope that the live edition will allow more participants to learn and apply what is learned immediately. The iLVS considers giving an "iLVS 2025 FOR YOUNG" Award at the congress, to be given to the best written/oral communication whose first author is a participant under 40. The award ceremony will take place on June 7, 2025, at the conclusion of the proceedings. The best paper will be published in its entirety in the journal "acta Flebologica" and the author will also be awarded, as a prize, a transilluminator worth € 1,000.00. Christian Baraldi, MD
